The Mount Ashland ski area is situated on the tallest peak in the Siskiyou Mountain range, extending 7,532 feet above Ashland. Almost half of the 23 runs at the park are rated black diamond, making it a challenging yet rewarding skiing experience. Also offered on the mountain is "chute" skiing in a glacial cirque. The resort is located west of the town at the foot of the Siskiyou Mountains.
